1. How do I edit text in a PDF?
Open a PDF from your device, Google Drive, or Dropbox. Click a line on the page to select it. Change the wording, size, color, bold or italic in the sidebar. Click Finish editing and download the new file.
2. Can I add new text, not only change existing lines?
Yes. Switch to Add text, type in Content, then click the page to place it. Drag the box, use the arrows to nudge it, and use the red X to remove it.
3. Why can’t I select some words?
The tool edits the PDF text layer. Scanned pages (image-only) have no selectable text. If a word exists but the box missed it, stay in Select mode and drag a box over that word to force a selection.
4. Will table lines and cell colors stay in place?
Yes. The original page is kept. Edited lines are covered and rewritten on top, so gray, green, or yellow cells and column rules stay. Drag the purple edges if a box is too wide for a cell.
5. Can I delete text or undo a change?
Select a line and click Delete, or use the red X on a new text box. Undo restores the last change. Delete hides the original line; it does not rebuild the whole page.
6. Can I move or rotate images?
Yes. Click an image on the page, drag it, or use the Image buttons to rotate left or right. Finish editing to write the new position into the PDF.
7. How do I import a PDF from Google Drive or Dropbox?
Use the cloud buttons in the upload panel. Sign in, pick a PDF, and it downloads into your browser. You do not need a PDFinsert account. On mobile, allow pop-ups.
8. Do I need to create an account?
No. Editing from your device needs no login. There is no watermark and no paid plan to download.
9. Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Your file never leaves your device for processing. Edits run in the browser with pdf.js and pdf-lib. Cloud import only downloads the file you picked into that session. We do not store the PDF.
10. Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 150 MB. The real limit is your device memory. Large page counts are more comfortable on a computer than on a phone.
11. Can I edit a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Unlock it first with the Unlock PDF tool, then open it here.
12. Can I edit PDFs on my phone or tablet?
Yes, on current Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. For long tables or many pages, a computer is easier to zoom and click.
